My name is Merce and I am trying to get registered.
These "big" girls are still kinda foreign to me as I dip my feet into new waters ... I have mostly collected 16" dolls and a few 12".
I ordered my first Raccoon and found your site while searching for more info on Raccoon and Iplehouse dolls.

Hi, my name is Lilia and I'm slowly trying to get back in the hobby. I have an Iplehouse Aria named Alex who is a diva and a little Iplehouse Linda. I have plans to get more of the big dolls in the future like Iplehouse Isis and Edan, and probably one more Iplehouse lady. Hope to be able to chat with everyone here!   |

Merce, we have several members here who collect (or have collected) other 16" dolls. The Raccoon dolls should be a nice transition for you. As you may know, Iplehouse has a FID line now that is about the same size as the Racoon dolls. Feel free to pop in any discussion. Enjoy!
Lilla, Nice to see your girls. I recognize them. You always have them styled so perfect. Feel free to join in any topic. I look forward to seeing more of your gilrs.

Hi, everyone--I'm Teena and have been collecting Iplehouse BJDs for five years this spring. I'm active on various doll boards including Prego, ZoZ, and DoA plus some Facebook groups. My primary focus is on the bigger Iples--EID & now HID--but I also have a half dozen BID and a few SID. My JID mostly went to new homes this summer since I have two more HIDW on the way from Iple and am awaiting a new look for my HIDM Falcon from Angel Toast. I've been collecting dolls for 30 years, and love to design/sew/create for them. Thanks for considering me.

My collection overall is called Worthington Castle, and all my Iples fit into the realm of Alcott Doane one way or other. Started nearly 20 years ago when a vintage Cissy Queen was Her Royal Dollness. (She had a Homestead web page and I created this e-mail for her...it just ended up being my doll e-mail after another account got corrupted.) There are many Iples in residence now, but I've gotten a lot choosier the past year and at this point am only buying dolls with a specific character in mind. (Rose is laughing if she read that as she knows that Bella bumped Aileen by a couple of weeks!) The current Royal Dollnesses have been on the job since 2012. I don't do any other fashion-type dolls anymore, but I do have a fondness for modern play dolls like AG & others. OK, weakness. There are too many others I seem to need one of, LOL--need to thin out. Iples are my only BJD brand...aside from my two Whispering Grass Manuna mice. I have two HIDW on order that I am really looking forward to--a NS Aileen w/SID Basic Aria face-up B (med bust & mobility) and an Ebony HIDW Bella blank with a full set of extra parts (6 PR hands, extra pair both feet) who is lg bust & mobility. Love HID more than I expected to! I also have a PG gl Bella I bought not too long ago who is my near-constant design companion at present. She has both sets of arms, lg & sm bust plates, and can also use both a pair of 2015 PG hands and my 2012 PG Carina's head....it takes me about 90 sec to swap busts/heads since both plates have their own arms. Makes her terribly versatile and I desperately wish Iple would sell dolls in a set like this. I can dream. I love the old style body EIDs and they comprise the bulk of the Iple herd, er, crowd--a lot of my remaining wishlist items are pre-2013 dolls I will probably not find. Thanks again! |

And I too have a fondness for the older EID woman body...I still love their legs!

I was very fortunate that my DH was good with me getting an HIDW this spring, LOL...and then it turned into three. Yikes. Did NOT intend to do that, but he has been a good sport about it. I have really enjoyed seeing the pics on DoA and Flickr of people's HIDWs. You guys have awesome girls!
There is just something about the early dolls that has always been a good fit with me, too. I know I'll eventually have no option but to have new body style dolls fill characters, and that will be ok--just wish Iple had given us a choice as it bothers me a bit that I can no longer get parts for the pre-2013 dolls.
Also hope they will now add a small bust EIDW option since SID & HID small bust options are both so nice! I think we should all keep asking, LOL.

I agree about the older body parts. I miss not being able to get the old EIDw hands....they are handy for holding guitars and stuff. And yes a small bust option on the EIDw would be most welcome. I like variety! LOL |
